In Medley, 12 cards are placed face up on the table. These cards have either 1, 2, or 3 figures. Those figures are red, green, or blue; and they are open, shaded or filled. The figures are squares, ovals, or dumbells. The goal of the game is to find medleys of three cards. For three cards to make a medley, each characteristic for all the cards must be the same or they must all be different. If two of the cards have one characteristic and the third does not then it isn't a medley. For example if two out of three cards have filled figures and the third has a shaded figure then it isn't a medley. If there are no medleys among the twelve cards then the computer will put out three more cards. Then, when you or the computer gets a medley the cards are simply rearranged into the 3x4 formation.
SCORING
When you find a medley, hit the space bar. You then have approximately 6 seconds to select the three cards that make up the medley. There is a penalty of losing one medley if you do not select a medley in time as well as a penalty for chosing an incorrect medley. You may choose to turn the penalty on or off under the options menu. The scores shown in the high score menu are based on the number of medleys you found and the difficulty level you were at when you found them. You receive more points when you are playing on a higher level.
